Well to make up for the disaster, fishing wise, on the Connecticut River, the good old fishing haunts of the Saranac River NY still amaze. The day was prefect, the water levels perfect and the fish were there. Browns! None smaller that 14 inches and a few over 20 inches. However to my delight one over 24 inches. All on a 3 wt, granted an 11 foot  Sage but never the less a 3 wt. I know, I know where are the pictures! Well, as usual, this dummy forgot his camera, crikey you would think I would learn by now, but a big senior moment was had!  So now my camera is attached to my sling pack. It was not only a good day, no a great day for me but also Robert & John had some big puppies on.
Of course John could not resist and went back a few days later and they were still there. John is all about the “thug is the drug”, honestly who isn’t but John is an addict who needs serious help and counselling.
Here’ one of the flies that worked my “mukler”. Also a “thunder creek” minnow pattern. Also caught some on a “Cali PT” beadhead size 16.
