So our normal yearly trip to Pulaski is not happening, mostly due to the fact that some of the Fat Bastards are old Fat Grandpa Bastards. It seems that some are becoming grandpas and some are already grandpas so there seems to be some a “reasoning” to not fish and instead watch little rug rats being well little rug rats.
We have, however been able to do some fishing for landlocks on the Saranac River. The fishing has been good this fall better than the past few years. These fish were caught on Spey Rods with #18 BWO Emergers, yes that’s right #18 BWO!
More were landed and more were lost, however catching them on #18 BWO is to say the least enjoyable.
On another note, and for your entertainment only I am providing a short but instructive instructional video on casting a Spey Rod, or should I say a news cast on what not to do when casting. Please excuse the shaky video it’s hard to shoot video and chuckle at the same time. Comments will always be appreciated  not on  the videography mind you but on the casting of course, cause it’s not me, ha!
So that’s it for now, more stories and life events to follow. I will try to be more diligent with my posting, however since I am a curmudgeon probably not so much. Ciao!
