Montana

Well long time without a word or at least a written word. Pretty good for an opiniated person like myself. Anyway preparing for one of the “bucket list” events, that being fishing the Montana rivers, in particular those in and around the Bozeman, Yellowstone and such. Booked for Nelson Creek Ranch, Dupuy and Armstrong Creek amongst others. So a few of the Fat Bastards (myself, Bruce & Robert) are going with two fellow fly anglers, Wye & Howard. At the moment, going through my check off list and making sure I bring the essentials.

The internal struggle of which rods to bring, second guessing yourself as to which and how many fly boxes and by the way I am perplexed as to why I tie so many flies, it must be some sort of psychological disorder, seems the you always have this nagging feeling that you somehow forgot to tie a certain fly. Crikey that feeling is annoying. Speaking of which,  the fly tying part, I have been tying some local favourites, mostly Blue ribbon Flies Shop flies check out their site; http://www.blue-ribbon-flies.com nice site & newsletter.

Here are some of the flies I am tying: More to come, I fear.
